In times such as these, breathing exercises ( my fave: the Andrew Weil MD 7-4-8 breathing - in count to 7; hold count to 4; out count to 8 ), a mantra (such as breathe in “grateful”, breathe out “I am”, repeat) or silent or guided meditation can help keep your attitude positive, even when things look bleak.
And if all those practices don’t help, you have my permission to take a sledgehammer to a rock (but only a rock!)
